Jeff Kendall is the co-owner and co-founder of Custom Exteriors, helping establish the company in 1997 alongside Kevin Gundry. Before starting Custom Exteriors, Jeff worked as an estimator for Sears Contractor and earned his degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1981.

From the company’s early days working out of his wife’s flower shop to its growth across San Ramon, Dublin, Pleasanton, and the greater Bay Area, Jeff has played a hands-on role in building Custom Exteriors into a trusted exterior remodeling company. In the first years of the business, he and Kevin personally handled estimates, project coordination, and customer relationships while steadily growing the team.

Today, Jeff manages many of the behind-the-scenes details that keep projects moving, including job orders, paperwork, building permits, city permits, and client meetings. His long history with the company and practical project experience help ensure homeowners receive clear communication and organized support throughout the remodeling process.

Originally from Berkeley, Jeff enjoys spending his free time playing golf and tennis, as well as traveling when he can.

Kevin Gundry is the co-owner and co-founder of Custom Exteriors, which he started in 1997 with business partner Jeff Kendall. A fourth-generation Californian born in Sacramento, Kevin brings deep local roots and decades of exterior remodeling experience to the company’s work throughout the Bay Area.

After studying Telecommunications at Chico State and graduating in 1987, Kevin went on to help build Custom Exteriors into a trusted name for windows, siding, doors, and exterior remodeling. His leadership has helped shape the company’s commitment to quality products, skilled installation, clear communication, and long-term accountability for homeowners.

Outside of work, Kevin is a proud husband and father of five children, including two sets of twins. He enjoys spending time with his family, backpacking, camping, fishing, attending Oakland A’s games, and traveling whenever he has the opportunity.

David Lopez brings 36 years of construction industry experience to his role as Sales Manager at Custom Exteriors. Before joining the home improvement field, David served four years in the United States Air Force as a Crew Chief on the A-10 Warthog, where he developed the discipline, attention to detail, and responsibility that continue to shape his approach today.

With decades of hands-on industry knowledge, David helps homeowners navigate window, siding, door, and exterior remodeling decisions with clear communication and practical guidance. His experience allows him to understand both the technical side of a project and the importance of helping each customer feel confident throughout the process.

Outside of work, David enjoys staying active, playing sports, spending time outdoors, and fishing. Earlier in life, he also traveled to compete in jet ski races, a passion he pursued until injuries brought that chapter to a close.

Robert Vigil brings more than 20 years of window and siding experience to his role as Project Manager at Custom Exteriors. With a background in construction and exterior design, Robert helps homeowners make informed decisions about their projects by combining practical building knowledge with a strong eye for design, performance, and long-term value.

His experience allows him to guide East Bay homeowners through window, siding, and exterior remodeling projects with clear communication and thoughtful recommendations. From understanding a home’s structure to helping select products that improve curb appeal, comfort, and durability, Robert brings a steady, knowledgeable approach to every project.

Outside of work, Robert enjoys golfing, attending sporting events, and spending time with his wife and children.

Walker Bardsley brings more than 30 years of experience buying, upgrading, and selling properties to his role at Custom Exteriors. His approach to home improvement starts with a practical question: does the math work?

Walker understands that exterior remodeling is a meaningful investment, and he helps homeowners evaluate their options with both financial value and long-term performance in mind. Whether he is discussing new windows, patio doors, entry doors, or other exterior upgrades, his goal is to help each customer understand how the project fits their home, budget, comfort, curb appeal, and resale goals.

Known for his thoughtful, information-first approach, Walker takes time to listen, review options, and answer questions without pressure. He believes homeowners should have the details they need to make a confident decision, even if that decision is not to move forward right away.

Walker is proud to represent the full Custom Exteriors team, from project coordination and logistics to installation and ownership. He values the company’s collaborative process and the attention each project receives from start to finish.

Outside of work, Walker enjoys staying busy, working long hours, and meeting homeowners throughout the East Bay who are ready to explore whether their next exterior remodeling project makes sense for their home.

Rod Mills brings more than 20 years of home improvement experience to his role as Project Manager at Custom Exteriors. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles as a General Manager, Regional Manager, Sales Manager, and Project Manager, giving him a practical understanding of how to guide homeowners through complex exterior remodeling decisions with clarity and confidence.

Rod’s approach starts with listening. He believes homeowners want quality, honest guidance, and a respectful process — not a high-pressure sales experience. From windows and doors to siding and larger renovation projects, Rod focuses on understanding each homeowner’s goals, explaining available options clearly, and helping create a plan that fits the home, the budget, and the long-term vision.

With experience working with premium windows, doors, siding, bath, and kitchen products, Rod brings strong product knowledge, clear communication, and a commitment to accountability from the first consultation through the final walkthrough. His goal is to make each project feel organized, transparent, and as stress-free as possible.

Outside of work, Rod is a proud husband, father of three daughters, and “Papa Jefe” to three grandchildren. He has built two homes, remodeled his family’s Tahoe getaway, coached competitive and high school soccer, and enjoys music, the San Francisco 49ers, the Golden State Warriors, and the Oakland A’s.

David Niacaris brings decades of construction and home improvement experience to Custom Exteriors. He began his career in 1984 as a union carpenter, building a hands-on foundation in residential and commercial construction before moving into home remodeling and renovation work.

In 1993, David transitioned into sales, combining his technical background with a customer-first approach. His experience in framing, remodeling, structural renovations, and finish work gives him a practical understanding of what homeowners need when planning exterior upgrades. Today, he uses that knowledge to communicate clearly, understand each client’s goals, and guide projects with professionalism and integrity.

Outside of work, David enjoys fishing, golfing, boating, and riding his WaveRunner.

Leo “Lyonya” Senderovich brings more than 20 years of home improvement experience to his role as Project Manager at Custom Exteriors. After emigrating from Ukraine as a child, Leo made the Bay Area his home and now lives in Walnut Creek with his wife, Cecille, and their two sons, Zachary and David.

Leo joined Custom Exteriors for the opportunity to work with a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and premium exterior remodeling products. His background in home improvement helps him support homeowners throughout the project process, from planning and coordination to communication and follow-through.

Outside of work, Leo enjoys playing pickup basketball at 24 Hour Fitness, cheering on the Golden State Warriors, and spending time with family and friends.
