Every estimate is built from the same five variables. Here's what actually moves the price on your project, and why.

Frame material
Vinyl, aluminum, and fiberglass are priced differently because they perform differently. Infinity from Marvin fiberglass costs more upfront than vinyl, but it holds its seal longer and resists the Tri-Valley's temperature swings better, so it typically needs replacing less often. Over 20 years, the math usually favors fiberglass.

Glass package
California's Title 24 energy code sets minimum performance standards, and homeowners can choose glass packages that exceed them. Higher-performance glass costs more per opening and lowers energy costs for as long as the window is in place.

Full-frame replacement vs. retrofit
Retrofit installs work within your existing frame and are typically less invasive. Full-frame replacement removes the old frame down to the studs and is often the right call when there is rot, water damage, or an outdated frame material. Your consultant will tell you honestly which one your home needs, not which one is easier to sell.

Number and size of openings
Cost scales with how many windows you're replacing and how large they are. A full-house replacement and a two-window kitchen update are different projects with different price points.

The installer is part of what you are paying for
A window is only as good as the installation behind it. How your windows go in determines whether the seal holds, the warranty is honored, and the window performs in year fifteen the way it did in year one.
AAMA (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) Certified Master Installers
AAMA certification is the highest installer credential in the window and door industry. Most installers, even experienced ones, do not carry it. Ours do. The installation has to meet the same standards the manufacturer requires to honor the product warranty.
